The crematory ovens of Mauthausen

The crematorium at Mauthausen concentration camp with its brick ovens still visible. The walls are covered with memorial plaques, photos and mementos left by victims families. Candles and flowers testify that this place of death and destruction has become today a sanctuary of memory where tribute is paid to those who never returned.
