Italian memorial plaques at Mauthausen

The memorial wall dedicated to Italian deportees at Mauthausen concentration camp. Hundreds of plaques, photos and wreaths commemorate the over 8,000 Italians deported to this camp, of whom about 5,500 never returned. Municipalities, associations and families have placed their tributes here to keep alive the memory of those torn from their homeland.
