A view of Division 68 of Pere-Lachaise cemetery, one of the 97 sections into which the cemetery is divided. In the center, a public fountain with a cast iron column, a typical element of 19th-century Parisian street furniture. In the background, an imposing funerary monument with bronze sculptures catches the eye. The cobblestone avenue forks around a central island with trees, creating a small square. Each division of Pere-Lachaise has its own characteristics and houses tombs of more or less famous figures. Division 68, located in the eastern part of the cemetery, was opened in the second half of the 19th century.
