The Langer Gang, literally long corridor, extends with its elegant Renaissance arcades along the side of the Stallhof. Tuscan columns support round arches creating a covered portico where tournaments and festivities once took place. The upper facade alternates windows and sgraffito-style decorations in blue and white tones. At the end of the perspective the dome of the Frauenkirche can be glimpsed, creating an architectural dialogue between Renaissance and Baroque. The Stallhof, built in the 16th century as stables and tournament arena, is one of the few Renaissance complexes to survive in Dresden.
