Cloister of the Sanctuary of Santa Maria a Mare on the island of San Nicola (Tremiti Islands), with stone arched porticoes and a central well dating back to the Benedictine era. Built by the Benedictines in the 11th century and enlarged by the Lateran Canons, it preserves a well decorated with legendary symbols of the Tremiti Islands. Once the center of monastic life, it served the refectory and the underground cistern, a testament to medieval hydraulic engineering.
