Monteserico Castle offers one of the most spectacular views of the Murge Plateau. From this privileged position, the gaze embraces a landscape where the green of spring crops alternates with the gold of already mature fields. The sinuosities of the terrain create plays of light and shadow that change continuously throughout the day. In the distance, other hills follow one another until they are lost in the haze on the horizon. The castle, built in the Norman era and later expanded by the Swabians, was for centuries the administrative center of a vast agricultural territory. Today it is a destination for hikers attracted by the beauty of the landscape.
