Fountain of Neptune, Bologna

Built in 1566 at the behest of the papal vicegate Pier Donato Cesi to glorify the papal government of Pope Pius IV. The result of the collaboration between Zanobio Portigiani, who was the founder, Tommaso Laureti as architect and Giambologna as sculptor.
