The interior of the cave where the 335 victims of the Fosse Ardeatine massacre were shot. The artistic wrought iron gate, created by sculptor Mirko Basaldella, represents human figures intertwined in suffering. On the wall, the commemorative inscription remembers the victims: partisans, Jews, political prisoners and innocent civilians killed in reprisal.
