The charming Campo di Santa Sofia in the Cannaregio district of Venice, overlooking the Grand Canal. In the photograph, moored gondolas gently sway on the water, with the backdrop of the Fabbriche Nuove di Rialto, a 16th-century building designed by Jacopo Sansovino. The Romanesque church of Santa Sofia, from which the campo takes its name, is one of the oldest buildings in the lagoon city.
