The interior of the Laerdal Tunnel captured with a long exposure that transforms vehicle headlights into light trails. The artificial blue lighting of the rock walls creates a surreal atmosphere in this extraordinary engineering work. The Laerdal Tunnel, opened in 2000, extends for 24.5 kilometers between Laerdal and Aurland, connecting Oslo to Bergen without the need for ferries. To combat monotony and driver fatigue, the tunnel features three large caves lit with blue and yellow lights simulating dawn.
