One of the most spectacular waterfalls of the Akerselva river is located near Torggata, in the Grunerlokka district. Water plunges forcefully among the rocks, creating a natural spectacle just steps from the city center. This area, once industrial, is today one of Oslo liveliest and trendiest neighborhoods, where bars, restaurants and vintage shops coexist with river nature. The waterfall represents an oasis of freshness on hot Norwegian summer days.
