Oslo Opera House presents itself in all its magnificence in this daytime view from the fjord. The white Carrara marble roof, conceived as a walkable public square, gently slopes towards the water inviting visitors to climb and enjoy the city view. Designed by Snohetta studio and inaugurated in 2008, the building quickly became the symbol of new Oslo. The blue sky and white clouds are reflected on the glass facade, while some visitors relax on the wide sloping surfaces. The architecture evokes an iceberg emerging from the sea.
