Majestic view of Kopiec Krakusa (Krakus Mound), a mysterious artificial hill of prehistoric origin dominating Krakow from the Podgorze district. About 16 meters high, this grass-covered conical structure was probably erected in the 7th century as a burial mound for the legendary Prince Krakus, mythical founder of the city. A spiral path leads to the top offering a panoramic view of all Krakow. Under the blue sky, a solitary visitor walks at the foot of the hill, while bare trees mark the winter landscape of the Polish countryside.
