The Wolfsschanze bunker remains wrapped in the vegetation of the Polish forest

The image shows the ruins of one of the bunkers of the complex, now completely integrated into the natural environment of the Masurian forest. The reinforced concrete structure, severely damaged by demolitions, has irregular openings where doors and windows once stood. The residual snow on the ground indicates the late-winter season of the visit. The bare trees allow appreciation of the entire mass of the building, which in summer would be partially hidden by foliage. Tree roots have penetrated the cracks in the concrete, contributing to the slow disintegration of the structure.
