The image shows the remains of the air-raid bunker reserved for guests at Hitler's headquarters. The reinforced concrete structure, partially destroyed by explosive charges placed by the retreating Germans in January 1945, emerges from the vegetation of the Masurian forest. The rectangular opening provided access to the underground shelter system. The walls, several meters thick, testify to the imposing nature of the complex's defensive constructions. Moss and vegetation have progressively reclaimed the structure, creating a contrast between military architecture and the surrounding nature.
