Majestic daytime view of the Palace of Culture and Science (Palac Kultury i Nauki), the iconic skyscraper that dominates Warsaw's skyline at 237 meters tall. Built between 1952 and 1955 as a "gift from the Soviet people to the Polish nation", this colossal building in socialist realism style represents one of the most significant examples of Stalinist architecture in the world. The structure features a sharp central tower crowned by a spire, surrounded by lower volumes housing theaters, cinemas, museums and offices. Despite its controversial past as a symbol of Soviet domination, today the palace is an integral part of Warsaw's identity and unmissable tourist attraction with its panoramic terrace on the 30th floor.
