The imposing Clock Tower of Sighisoara, built in the 14th century and undisputed symbol of the city. Standing 64 meters tall, the tower features a magnificent polychrome roof decorated with green, orange and blue glazed tiles forming geometric patterns. The mechanical clock with its wooden figurines representing the days of the week is still perfectly functioning. At the base, the ancient wooden structures testify to the medieval engineering that has allowed this tower to dominate the citadel for over seven centuries.
