The historic Casa Vlad Dracul in Sighisoara, the ochre yellow building where in 1431 Vlad III was born, better known as Vlad Tepes or Vlad the Impaler, the figure who inspired the character of Dracula. The medieval building, recognizable by the dragon sign of the Order of the Dragon, now houses a restaurant. The cobblestone alley and stone arch in the background lead to other evocative views of the citadel, creating an atmosphere that transports visitors back in time nearly six centuries.
