Majestic night view of the Serbian Parliament (Narodna skupstina), seat of the National Assembly of Serbia. The imposing neo-baroque and neoclassical building, designed by architect Jovan Ilkic and built between 1907 and 1936, dominates Nikola Pasic Square with its green copper domes and richly decorated facade. Night illumination enhances the Corinthian columns, allegorical statues and architectural details of this symbol of Serbian democracy. Bronze horses flanking the monumental staircase welcome visitors to this temple of Balkan politics.
