Fascinating scene of industrial archaeology at the Rio Tinto mines, where an abandoned railway station emerges from the red and orange waters of the river. The ruined buildings with collapsed roofs and an old railway car tell the story of the Rio Tinto Company Limited, the British company that in the 19th century transformed this region into one of the most productive mining centers in the world. The railway built to transport ore to the port of Huelva is today partly restored as a tourist attraction, allowing visitors to cross this surreal landscape.
