This unique perspective shows the interior of the Kapellbrucke, revealing the wooden structure of Europe's oldest covered bridge. The dark wooden beams and pillars create a natural frame through which the Reuss River and historic buildings of the old town can be seen. In the truss ceiling, the famous triangular paintings decorating the bridge are visible, depicting scenes from Swiss history and the lives of patron saints Leodegar and Maurice. On the left, Swiss flags are displayed, while through the openings the Rathaus with its characteristic tower can be glimpsed. Daylight filters through the windows creating a play of light and shadow on the wooden floor.
