Picture of a curious essay found in the ruins of Prypjat, Chernobyl
Soviet authorities militarized the zone of Chernobyl after the disaster. Soviets used militaries and civilians in the enviromental remediation and to avoid further damages. The government of the then general secretary of CPSU Michail Gorbachev used Chernobyl as a propaganda topic. The doll in the picture remind the filmed scene in which a group of liquidators climbs the chimney of the nuclear power plant, only to raise the red flag on the top. It looks like a sort of recall of a similar scene filmed during the battle of Berlin, the taking of the Reichstag.
