A balcony suspended in time in the ghost town of Prypjat, evacuated on April 27, 1986 following the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Founded in 1970, Prypjat housed about 50,000 inhabitants and represented a model of modern Soviet city. The multi-story residential buildings, typical of Soviet urban planning, now silently bear witness to the tragedy that marked this region of Ukraine.
