Work makes you free - Auschwitz

Arbeit Macht Frei was a slogan used by nazis, who used it in inscriptions at the gates of several concentration camps. First used in Dachau in 1933, in 1940 it has been placed at the gate of Auschitz I. This motto is a cynical mocking used by nazis and it represents the exact opposite of the life that prisoners found in the camps.
