The ruins of the hospital of Hippocrates - Kos
Hippocrates of Kos is largely renowed as the Father of Medicine. He studied in the Asclepeion in Kos but soon changed his viewings about medicine. He has been the first man to consider medicine as a profession and he has been also the first one to deal with medicine believing that diseases were caused naturally, without the involving of gods and superstitions.
