St. Peter Church (Eglise Saint-Pierre) in the heart of Bastogne historic center during a winter snowfall. The religious building, featuring Romanesque and Gothic architectural elements, has a square bell tower and a polygonal apse with large windows. The structure of local stone and light plaster stands against the gray winter sky, while the square in front is completely covered with fresh snow. On the left, the Porte de Treves tower, a remnant of the ancient medieval fortifications, is visible. During the Battle of the Bulge, this church witnessed the fighting that devastated the city, becoming a symbol of civilian resistance.
