The Famous Roof of St. Mark Church

Magnificent view of St. Mark Church in Zagreb with its iconic polychrome glazed tile roof making it one of Croatia most recognizable monuments. The left side of the roof shows the medieval coat of arms of the Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia, while the right side features Zagreb coat of arms with castle and crescent moon. The 13th-century Gothic church, with its slender bell tower and Romanesque portal, dominates the cobblestone square of the upper town. Cloudy sky adds drama to this iconic image of the Croatian capital.
