The photograph shows in detail the Orloj, Prague Astronomical Clock, one of the oldest and best-preserved astronomical clocks in the world. Installed in 1410 on the Old Town Hall Tower, the clock consists of three elements: the astronomical dial indicating the positions of sun and moon in the zodiac, the calendar with monthly medallions by Josef Manes, and the procession of Apostles appearing every hour from the windows above the dial. The allegorical figures on the sides represent Vanity, Greed, Death, and Lust. On the pavement in the foreground, the circular design echoing the dial can be noted. Two tourists observe the clock, probably waiting for the show that repeats every hour from 9am to 11pm.
