The detention cells overlooking Theresienstadt fourth courtyard. These rooms, originally fortress storerooms, were adapted to house hundreds of prisoners. Conditions were among the worst in the camp: extreme overcrowding, poor ventilation, and lack of adequate sanitary facilities.
