The monumental Les Braves sculpture by artist Anilore Banon, erected in 2004 for the 60th anniversary of D-Day on Omaha Beach. The three steel wings symbolize the wings of hope, the wings of fraternity and the wings of freedom, in memory of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives here on June 6, 1944.
