A wall in the Ravensbrück museum displays dozens of mugshots of women interned in the camp, while in the foreground lies the open registry with prisoner names. These faces, photographed upon arrival at the camp, represent only a small portion of the over 130,000 women from across Europe who were deported here. Many were political prisoners, resistance fighters, Jews, Roma, and Jehovah Witnesses. The registry meticulously documents each prisoner identity, testimony to the bureaucracy of extermination.
