Perspective view of the Ravensbrück perimeter wall with the camp barracks on the right side. The black ground, composed of ashes and debris, extends between the wall and the abandoned buildings. This image shows the camp before restoration work, when the original structures were still visible in their state of decay. The barracks housed prisoners in conditions of extreme overcrowding, with hundreds of women crammed into spaces designed for a few dozen people.
