The Liberty Bridge (Szabadság híd) crosses the Danube connecting Buda with the Great Market Hall of Pest. Built between 1894 and 1896 for the Hungarian Millennium celebrations, it features a distinctive green iron structure in Art Nouveau style. The night image enhances the decorative details of the bridge: the four towers topped by Turul birds, mythological creatures of Magyar tradition. The green illumination highlights the metallic filigree of the lattice structure, creating evocative reflections on the Danube waters. Originally called the Franz Joseph Bridge, it was renamed Liberty Bridge after World War II.
