Bari's Margherita Theatre dominates this night-time view of the old harbour, photographed by drone about forty metres above the take-off point, looking south-west. The building stands in the centre of the frame, with its harbour-facing side on view. The dome is set further back, while the rectangular stage tower extends towards the water. The supporting pillars are visible beneath the right-hand side. Built between 1912 and 1914 on piles driven into the seabed, the theatre is surrounded by the boats of the small harbour. Wooden jetties in front of the building accommodate inflatable boats, motorboats and sailing boats. Smaller craft are also stored on racks beside the quay. To the left, white canopies shelter a terrace over the water. On the right, across the road, stands the former fish market, with its ground-floor arches illuminated. Buildings of the modern city rise behind the theatre, while the palm trees in the garden on the left have lights wrapped around their trunks. The photograph was taken on the morning of 6 October 2026, just under an hour before sunrise. The sky is still dark, and the water reflects the lights along the quays and on the façades.
