An agrarian reform farmhouse presents a peculiar state of preservation on Monte Caccia: while the wooden and tile roof structure appears still substantially intact, one of the side walls shows a huge breach that completely exposes the interior of the building. The reinforced concrete of the load-bearing structure resists, but the block infills have collapsed, creating an ovoid opening that reveals the empty interior. Mediterranean vegetation, composed of bushes and spontaneous grasses, has invaded the surrounding area, giving the whole an appearance of nature reclaiming anthropized space. In the background, another ruin can be glimpsed, confirming the presence of a cluster of farmhouses in this sector of Monte Caccia. The spring blue sky and the grazing light of the sun emphasize the remaining architectural volumes.
