Risiera di San Sabba and the crematorium chimney

The inner courtyard of Risiera di San Sabba with original red brick buildings and chimney. The latter served the crematorium where the bodies of approximately 3,500-5,000 victims were incinerated. The Nazis destroyed the crematorium on the night of April 29-30, 1945 to erase evidence of their crimes.
