The historic buildings of Risiera di San Sabba

A panoramic view of the Risiera di San Sabba complex, with historic red brick buildings and the commemorative reinforced concrete wall. This former rice processing plant was transformed by the Nazis in 1943 into a Polizeihaftlager, a police detention camp for political prisoners, partisans, Jews and detainees in transit to other camps.
