St. Publius Square represents the beating heart of the silent city of Mdina. On the left stands an elegant noble palace with the characteristic Maltese Baroque facade, decorated with balconies, elaborate frames, and the Malta flag. The golden limestone architecture, typical of the island, shines in the Mediterranean sunlight. An olive tree in the center of the square adds a touch of green to the urban landscape. In the background, the arch of the main gate with the access bridge can be glimpsed. A traditional carriage awaits tourists wishing to explore the narrow medieval streets of the city. This square is named after St. Publius, Malta's first bishop converted by St. Paul.
