Gustav Vigeland fountain presents itself in all its monumentality during blue hour, when the water takes on bluish tones that enhance the bronze sculptures. Six giants support the upper basin from which water cascades down, while around the fountain sculptural groups representing the phases of life are arranged. The bas-reliefs on the edge of the lower basin tell Nordic mythological stories. The long photographic exposure transforms the water into a silky veil enveloping the bronze figures.
