Vigeland Monolith represents the artistic culmination of Frogner Park and one of the most impressive sculptural works in the world. 14 meters high and carved from a single block of Iddefjord granite, the monument required 14 years of work by three stone carvers under Vigeland direction. The 121 figures composing it represent the cycle of life and human desire to elevate spiritually. This work represents the synthesis of Vigeland artistic vision on the human condition.
