Touching image of a memorial plaque on the surviving fragment of the Krakow Jewish ghetto wall. The inscription in Hebrew and Polish reads: "Here they lived, suffered and died at the hands of Hitler's executioners. From here began their last road to the extermination camps". The plaque indicates this is a fragment of the Jewish ghetto wall built in 1941-1943. This remaining piece of wall, preserved on Lwowska Street, represents one of the few physical testimonies left of the ghetto where over 15,000 Krakow Jews were confined before deportation.
