Auschwitz I crematorium ovens

The crematorium ovens inside Auschwitz crematorium I. These ovens were used to burn the bodies of victims killed in the adjacent gas chamber. Crematorium I was the first extermination facility of the Auschwitz complex, later replaced by the larger Birkenau crematoria when the number of victims increased dramatically.
