Mountain of eyeglasses belonging to Auschwitz victims, displayed in the memorial museum. These personal items were confiscated from prisoners upon their arrival at the camp and stored in warehouses called Canada. The glasses, like other personal effects, were to be recycled and reused by the German Reich.
