The image portrays one of the two monumental bronze heads that make up the Day and Night work by Spanish hyperrealist sculptor Antonio Lopez Garcia, installed at Atocha Station in 2008. The sculpture, about 4 meters high, depicts the face of a child with closed eyes, symbol of sleep and night. The work is reflected in the glass walls of the railway station, creating an evocative play of mirrors. Atocha Station, Madrid's main railway hub, has undergone a major redevelopment that transformed the old station into a tropical garden.
