Kungstradgarden station represents one of the most spectacular examples of art in Stockholm's metro. The cavern ceiling is painted bright green, creating an almost natural effect reminiscent of the royal garden from which it takes its name. The raw rock wall on the right has been left in its natural state, showing the veins and colors of Scandinavian stone. The floor features a geometric pattern in green, white, and red guiding passengers along the platform. A blue Tunnelbana train waits for passengers. This station, opened in 1977, is one of the deepest in the system, carved directly into granite rock.
