The interior of St. Peter's Church reveals a sumptuous Baroque decoration characterized by imposing red marble columns contrasting with white walls richly adorned with stuccoes. The wide nave features a decorated vaulted ceiling and a gallery supported by columns, typical of Reformed ecclesiastical architecture. Light wooden chairs replace traditional pews, giving a more modern atmosphere to the sacred space. The monumental organ at the end of the nave testifies to the importance of music in Protestant liturgy. This church, Zurich's oldest parish, was rebuilt in Baroque style in 1706 after a fire.
