The interior of the Fraumunster reveals the elegant Gothic architecture of the church, with its cross vaults rising above the central nave. Grey stone columns support the pointed arches that characterize the Gothic style of the building. At the end of the nave is the organ, framed by the architectural lines of the structure. Dark wooden pews line up neatly along the nave, while natural light filters through the side windows. Although the famous Marc Chagall stained glass windows are not visible in this shot, the church is world-renowned for these contemporary sacred artworks created in 1970.
