The shot shows the famous Fraumunster bell tower with its characteristic green spire standing against the Zurich sky. In the foreground, the Munsterbrucke bridge crosses the Limmat River with its elegant wrought iron railings. The Fraumunster, founded in 853 as a Benedictine convent, is now famous for the extraordinary stained glass windows created by Marc Chagall in 1970 and by Augusto Giacometti. On the left, the Rathaus, Zurich's historic town hall, can be glimpsed. The waters of the Limmat reflect the surrounding buildings while small boats are moored along the shore.
