The Grossmunster towers reflect in the waters of the Limmat River in Zurich

A magnificent view of the Grossmunster from the bridge over the Limmat River shows the imposing twin towers of the cathedral reflected in the calm waters. The Romanesque cathedral, built between the 11th and 13th centuries, represents one of Zurich's most significant monuments. According to legend, it was founded by Charlemagne on the site where the tombs of the martyred saints Felix and Regula, patrons of the city, were found.
