Walk on the Cloak Bridge of Cesky Krumlov castle with baroque statues and rooftop panorama
The photograph portrays the famous Cloak Bridge (Plastovy most), one of the most distinctive structures of Cesky Krumlov castle. Built in the 17th century, the bridge connects different parts of the complex through multiple levels of superimposed arches. In the foreground, the cobblestone paving leads to a portico adorned with baroque statues depicting saints and allegorical figures. A fresco of a Franciscan monk decorates the wall on the right. Through the arches opens a breathtaking view of the red roofs of the old town below, with the green hills of South Bohemia in the background. The bridge architecture, with its Gothic and Renaissance elements, testifies to the different construction phases of the castle that followed from the 13th to the 18th century.
